What materials cannot be placed in the dumpster?
In compliance with North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NC DEQ) and EPA regulations, prohibited items include hazardous chemicals, wet paint cans, motor oil, fuels, asbestos, car batteries, propane tanks, freon-containing appliances (without certified degas tags), and medical waste.
Do I need a city permit to rent a dumpster in Raleigh, NC?
No permit is needed if the dumpster is placed on your private driveway, private property, or job site. If the dumpster must be placed on a public city street or right-of-way in Downtown Raleigh, a temporary street encroachment permit may be required.
